I’m Alexis, an occupational therapist specializing in pelvic health, persistent pain, and whole-body care. I created Somara to offer a more personal, collaborative approach to treatment. One that considers not just your symptoms, but how they affect your life.

MY STORY
Throughout my work in pelvic health, I’ve seen how deeply physical symptoms can affect someone’s confidence, relationships, movement, and daily life. I’ve also seen how valuable it is to have the time to look beyond a diagnosis and understand the person experiencing it.
I created Somara to make space for a different kind of care. One that allows time, curiosity, clinical reasoning, and collaboration. A practice where hands-on treatment, movement, and nervous system-informed approaches can come together according to each person’s individual needs.
The way I work
I combine clinical knowledge with a whole-person perspective, creating care that is both supportive and practical in everyday life.
Individualized Care
Every session is shaped around your goals, your experiences, and what matters most to you.
Whole-Body Perspective
We consider how the pelvic floor, movement, breathing, and nervous system may influence one another.
Hands-On & Movement-Based
Treatment may incorporate manual therapy, movement, education, and practical strategies to support everyday function.
Collaboration & Choice
Clear communication, consent, and your comfort guide the process. You remain an active participant in your care.
